Seit ihrer Gründung im Frühjahr 2016 haben LastLight mit einer Split 7“ und einer gemeinsamen Tour mit ihren Label-Kollegen von Tausend Löwen Unter Feinden durch Deutschland, Österreich und die Schweiz ihren Angriff begonnen. Die Musiker von LastLight können auf eine eindrucksvolle Geschichte zurückblicken.
So spielten sie beispielsweise in UNITY, UNIFORM CHOICE, IGNITE, OUTSPOKEN, MAN WILL SURRENDER SPEAK 714, KILL THE MESSENGER und THE KILLING FLAME. Bei LASTLIGHT bekommt man sprichwörtlich ein Brett des typischen melodiösen OCHC Sound mit vielen Elementen des D.C. Hardcore ala Dischord um die Ohren geknallt. Gemixt und gemastert wurden die Songs ihrer neuen EP Exploding Antenna von Paul Miner.

Die Violence 12″ Split-EP erscheint am 06. April 2018 über Unity World Wide Records. Die Preorder der roten Vinyl startet zwei Wochen vor Release.

The members of LASTLIGHT can recall the early days of their involvement in the hardcore scene. Initially attracted to the speed and energy of the music, the powerful and positive message, and the passion… What had dimmed over years as a result of growing older and the responsibilities that come with it has slowly begun to turn back to its full brightness. After reuniting with their previous bands for a benefit for a fallen friend they realized they are not done, and have so much more to contribute. LASTLIGHT contains former members of UNITY, UNIFORM CHOICE, IGNITE, OUTSPOKEN, MAN WILL SURRENDER SPEAK 714, KILL THE MESSENGER, and THE KILLING FLAME. LASTLIGHT brings listeners O.C. Hardcore in the same vein as the music that started them on this path only reinforced by years of watching the scene around them grow and divide. Strap in for a punk rock thrill ride.
“This music goes directly through the ears into the “my legs and arms would like to do something” section. I can’t describe this piece of music an other way. The guys around Joe D. Foster, which are carrying a fresh and open style and also got strong lyrics and strong songwriting, should have earned more attention, but they are doin it not for fame, it’s just because they want to.
